# Gubbrunda 3D portraits v4.0

The head, eyes, teeth and facial motion derive from **Snow Rig (CC) Blender Foundation | studio.blender.org**.

Gubbrunda adaptations include cropped portrait anatomy, adjusted proportions, baked Smile/Laugh/Blink expressions, face-shape and gender morphs, anchored head poses, facial hair, brows, eyewear, freckles, mole and teeth choices. Version 3 adds a welded scalp, newly generated layered hair geometry, a fitted crew-neck garment, UV layouts, deterministic skin/iris/hair/cloth textures, and studio lighting in the shared browser renderer.

Version 3.1 replaces the inflated hair locks with thin fibre sheets, alpha-masked strand textures and loose strands; adds weighted hair rigs with length-dependent secondary motion; and softens the resting expression, brows, jaw shaping and lighting. These geometry, texture and animation adaptations are generated locally by the project's Blender scripts and browser renderer.

Versions 3.2–3.4 refine iris and pupil proportions, recess the eye surfaces, add selectable eyelashes bound to the lid expressions, and introduce scalp-revealing partings and independent mouth/lip deformations in the browser renderer.

Version 3.5 recuts the hems, conforms fringe sheets to the head volume, reduces flyaways, rounds the bob inward and brings long hair closer to the body.

Version 3.6 adds Hollywood waves and a fuller mane, selectable hair length with length-dependent inertia, independent chin/nose sculpting, clothed muscle/bust morphs and an extended torso for long-hair previews. The scalp, hair sheets and garment remain locally generated adaptations.

Version 4 preserves the v3 anatomy and hair while adding fitted fringes, goatee/pencil/chevron facial hair, oval/cat-eye frames, additional face marks, shirt/polo plackets and cloth collars. The browser applies reversible eye/brow/hair/feature sculpting from immutable meshes. Generate the v4 source and GLB with `blender -b --factory-startup --disable-autoexec --threads 2 --python scripts/avatar/enhance-avatar-v4.py`; the v3 source remains the input.

This credit covers `gubbrunda-avatar-v4.glb`, `gubbrunda-avatar-v3.glb`, the retained Snow-derived `gubbrunda-avatar-v2.glb`, their editable Blender sources, the derived `fallback.png`, and the rendered preset/feature PNGs in `images/`. Regenerate these image portraits with `node scripts/avatar/export-avatar-images.cjs`; they use the actual avatar model and renderer, not separate character art. Reproduction instructions and texture sources are included with the project. Original Blender Studio authorship is retained. The Blender Foundation does not endorse this application.
